Join us at our creative studio for a hands-on workshop to make your own unique and personalized decor and gifts. But we don’t want to stop at just painting!  We also now have a great Candle pouring studio.  Come check out our amazing vessels.  We offer 100% soy wax and everything is toxic free so its safe for home and animals.   

At our Creative Candle Workshop. You’ll enjoy some of the most gorgeous candle making.  You’ll  choose your scent and color if you choose and pour into some delicious vessels of your choice.   You can choose to  pour one or two and give one as a gift.   Plus we have incredible embellishments like dried flowers, glass rocks, and more to add to your special candle if you’d like.  You’ll have to check this out. 

Creative Expressions DIY is a “Do it Yourself” paint studio and MORE. Our clients take unfinished wood and turn it into stunning personalized works of art. We only use the best in all of our products with whatever you’ll be working with.  Unleash your creative side!

We offer over 200 clay based paints in just about every color imaginable.  I am a Country Chic distributer.  These paints I offer in my studio do not use harsh chemical additives and are ultra-low VOC. They are independently tested and certified safe for adults and children alike.

Quality is very important. We purchase and have delivered a fine grade of white pine with no knots that’s furniture grade. It’s easier to work with and much prettier to paint. For those of you who love the notty look, dont worry, we still offer fine quality wood with some knots. 

We pre-sand all boards for you as well. We want you to come and have fun, not waste time sanding boards.We use only the finest wood with over 20 wood shapes and hundreds of design choices. We pride ourselves on the quality of our products.

Our experienced instructors guide you through the entire process utilizing hand tools, power tools, and hardware installation. We offer accessories consisting of rope, metal handles, knobs, bows, lazy susan’s and more. Each person will leave with their own unique, one of a kind, piece of art.

Don’t worry about having to set-up or clean up in our studio.  We do all the work for you!  Bring your friends, spouse, family, co-workers and your favorite beverage/food and let’s have some fun!

Meet Brenda

I’m a true southern girl at heart, outgoing with a creative spirit! I’ve been a Brevard County resident for over 50 years, and I have built my life in Cocoa with my husband and our adult children, and now precious grandchildren. I love making beautiful things and I find a calm about doing it.  I hope you can find the same in our studio.

My faith is the cornerstone of our family, and is what gets me through tough times such as a daughter battling brain cancer and just recently losing our 32 yo son to colon cancer. We miss you terribly Logan!

Creative Expressions was created to provide the Space Coast area with a non-franchise, comfortable, beautiful environment, a creative space away from work and stressors to get your craftiness on with your favorite people. 

I have a passion for all types of art and believe each and every one of us has an artist within. I love being creative and helping others do the same. When I started Creative Expressions, it was important for me to set a new trend: YOU PICK YOUR ART & YOU PICK THE WOOD BOARD! Instead of classes revolving around the same piece of art/wood, our classes focus on each individual creating a unique and personalized piece that can be completely different than the person sitting next to you.

Brenda has always had a love of art and a love to teach art of all kinds to others. Her desire to open Creative Expressions came when two of her three kids received the devastating news of cancer and she needed to keep her mind in a good positive place. Painting and creating art along with being around happy people is such good medicine.

"Just being around so many sweet, positive, inspiring people in the studio, who I consider friends, makes me smile and helps me get through each day. I consider myself very fortunate to have this opportunity."

 Ashlyn is a sweet, quiet gem who has joined our team here at Creative Expressions. Ashlyn is in college studying to be a Crime Scene Technician with an associates degree in science. She will graduate in 2024. She has two dogs named Titan and Trooper and loves to participate in local 5K's with her dad. I've know Ashlyn since she was brought into this world.

Jesse comes with a big smile and a big personality.
She is in her third year studying Architecture with a minor in Business. She loves art, surfing at the beach, soccer, reading crime novels, and painting in her spare time.

She has lived in this area for about 13 years. We are grateful to have Jesse with us. Be sure to say hello to both our instructors when you see them.

How It Works

To get started for board painting, choose your board letter type and design style number. Many of these pieces can be personalized to fit your taste. Let us know if you have a special piece of art you would like to create. Custom requests may require an additional fee.

For Creative Candling, you will register and pay only the deposit of $10.00 per person that will be deducted from your total price in the studio.  You will pay the price of the package you select once you arrive. The deposit is to hold your seat. 

We are happy to accommodate most requests.
